Topics in OPENSTEP Programming

What it is

Topics in OPENSTEP Programming is an incremental book, not designed to be read straight through from cover to cover. Whenever we come across an important programming topic that needs to be covered in depth, we add a chapter to this book. The material covered by these topics applies to NeXT's last implementation of OpenStep, OPENSTEP Enterprise 4.2; it might not accurately reflect Rhapsody in all details, but is still useful to programmers.

A note about the Text System chapter: This chapter is a good description of the text system, but does not include some updated information. If you're interested in this subject, start by reading the chapter, then look at the Application Kit release notes for updated information about the text system.
